The medium sized black to dark purple olives usually ripen by mid-November. Leaves are a rounded oval, and attractively silver on the underside. This is one of the hardier varieties, having never received any sort of damage, at least in the northern Willamette Valley. Will self fruit, but would prefer a friend for larger crops of fruit. Prefers full sun, well drained soil; hold off on water late season where hard frosts are likely.
